1. Introduction
Welcome to JOPEED ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the JOPEED platform, including our website, mobile applications, and all related services for airtime sales, distribution, and management (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using JOPEED, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Service. JOPEED is operated by JOPEED Airtime Systems, a company registered in Kenya.
JOPEED provides a platform for purchasing mobile airtime across supported networks including Safaricom, Airtel, and Telkom, as well as seller management tools for airtime distributors.
2. User Accounts
To access certain features of JOPEED, including the seller portal and bulk purchase tools, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Keep your password confidential and secure
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent activity. You must be at least 18 years old to create a seller account.
3. Airtime Purchases
JOPEED facilitates the purchase and distribution of mobile airtime. When you make a purchase through our platform:
- You confirm that the phone number(s) provided are correct and active
- Airtime is typically delivered within seconds of successful payment confirmation
- Minimum purchase amount is KES 10; maximum single transaction is KES 10,000
- Bulk purchases are subject to additional verification for large volumes
- We are not responsible for airtime delivered to incorrectly entered phone numbers
Airtime delivery times may vary due to network conditions, maintenance, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve delivery delays promptly.
4. Payments
JOPEED accepts payments through M-Pesa and airtime balance (for registered sellers). All transactions are processed in Kenyan Shillings (KES).
- M-Pesa payments are processed through Safaricom's secure payment gateway
- You will receive an M-Pesa prompt on your registered phone to authorize payment
- Failed or cancelled M-Pesa transactions will not result in airtime delivery
- Seller account balances must be maintained for airtime balance payments
- All prices displayed include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated
We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or full payment credentials. Payment authorization is handled entirely through Safaricom's secure systems.
5. Refund Policy
Due to the instant nature of airtime delivery, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis:
- Successful delivery: Airtime that has been successfully credited to a phone number is generally non-refundable
- Failed delivery: If payment was deducted but airtime was not delivered, contact support within 24 hours for investigation
- Wrong number: Refunds for airtime sent to an incorrect number are not guaranteed; always verify numbers before purchase
- Duplicate transactions: Verified duplicate charges will be refunded within 5–7 business days
To request a refund, contact our support team at support@jopeed.co.ke with your transaction reference number.
6. Seller Responsibilities
Airtime sellers using JOPEED agree to the following responsibilities:
- Operate in compliance with all applicable Kenyan laws and telecommunications regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions conducted through the platform
- Not engage in fraudulent sales, unauthorized reselling, or price manipulation
- Protect customer data and use it only for legitimate business purposes
- Report suspicious activity or security breaches to JOPEED immediately
- Maintain sufficient account balance for uninterrupted service
- Comply with commission structures and payout schedules as defined in seller agreements
Violation of seller terms may result in account suspension, commission forfeiture, and legal action.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. JOPEED collects and processes personal data in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
- We collect information you provide during registration and transactions
- Phone numbers are used solely for airtime delivery and account verification
- Transaction data is stored securely for reporting and dispute resolution
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties
- We may share data with network operators solely to facilitate airtime delivery

8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JOPEED and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
- Service interruptions due to network outages or maintenance
- Actions of third-party payment processors or network operators
- Unauthorized access to your account due to failure to secure credentials
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to JOPEED in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
